Navigation and service

Which requirements does the equipment of radio amateurs have to meet?

Open radio services are licensed for public use and are both not notifiable and free of charge. CB radio (CB: abbreviation for "Citizens' Band radio") is one of the best-known. On the other hand the Amateur Radio Service is an experimental radio service by nature, the users' equipment and antennae are subject to frequent changes. Under certain circumstances stationary amateur radio and transmission equipment have to meet requirements of the 26th Ordinance Implementing the Federal Immission Control Act (Ordinance on electromagnetic fields – Verordnung über elektromagnetische Felder zum Bundes-Immissionsschutzgesetz – 26 BImSchV) and the Ordinance on the method of proof regarding the limitation of electromagnetic fields (BEMFV).
