5G – the fifth generation of mobile communications

Electric and magnetic fields from the power supply (Standpoint on Radiation Protection)

Compared to the 4th generation (LTE), 5G offers a data transmission rate that is up to 100 times higher. This goes hand in hand with the introduction of technical innovations. This BfS position paper assesses mobile communications including 5G from a radiation protection perspective.
