UV protection in municipalities and clubs

"We need a change in awareness when it comes to UV protection," is one of the demands of the Federal Office for Radiation Protection. "Climatic developments further underline the importance of the topic of UV protection," said BfS expert Dr. Cornelia Baldermann in the video about the UV campaign 2023.

The biologist Dr. Cornelia Baldermann has been working as a scientific expert at the Federal Office for Radiation Protection (BfS) since 2002. Her task is to assess the health effects of optical radiation, especially UV radiation, and to develop radiation protection concepts. She advises the federal government and supports the Federal Environment Ministry.

She is also the initiator and coordinator of the UV protection alliance and works with the World Health Organization (WHO).
