UV Index forecast areas

The UV Index forecast areas are a division of Germany for the UV Index forecast. The division takes into account geographical, meteorological and climatological factors. The forecast UV Index values indicate averages for these regions.

The forecast areas are:

1. Coastal region North Sea (Küstenregion Nordsee)
2. Coastal region Baltic Sea (Küstenregion Ostsee)
3. North German Plain west (Norddeutsche Tiefebene West)
4. North German Plain east (Norddeutsche Tiefebene Ost)
5. Low mountain range west (Mittelgebirgsregion Westhälfte)
6. Low mountain range east (Mittelgebirgsregion Osthälfte)
7. Southern Germany west (Süddeutschland West)
8. Southern Germany east (Süddeutschland Ost)
9. Alps region west, southern Black Forrest (Alpengebiet West, südlicher Schwarzwald)
10. Alps region east (Alpengebiet Ost)
