The new UV measuring station against the Zugspitze mountain panorama Schneefernerhaus PanoramaThe new measuring station at Schneefernerhaus is part of the nationwide measuring network for solar UV radiation.

UV-Measurement

The measuring station measures the incident UV irradiance at ground level, broken down into small wavelength ranges. The measured values are adjusted using the weighting curve for the biological effect "sunburn" and quoted in the form of the unified global UV index (UVI).
