What role does trust play in the risk perception?

As part of the Federal Environment Ministry's departmental research, the National Institute for Science Communication (Nationales Institut für Wissenschaftskommunikation NaWik) gGmbH is addressing the question of how the population's trust in radiation protection institutions can be improved. The research project ends on May 31, 2024 and is supported professionally by the BfS.

Risk perception and risk understanding

The research project is dedicated to the effect of communication formats on various radiation protection topics. The focus is on the comparison of online and offline formats as well as the use of maps for risk communication. The project is being carried out as part of the Federal Environment Ministry's departmental research plan with the technical support of the BfS.
