BfS research programme 2022-2026
The Federal Office for Radiation Protection (BfS) has the legal mandate and its own claim, to advise and inform the Federal Ministry for the Environment, Nature Conservation, Nuclear Safety and Consumer Protection (BMUV), politics and society on all questions of radiation protection and its health concerns on the basis of the latest technical and scientific findings.
Research ensures that the BfS has the necessary action and orientation knowledge as well as solid and science-based basis for decision-making for radiation protection based on the state of the art in science and technology.
The present research programme of the BfS specifies the research needs for the period from 2022-2026, which results from its legal mandate and the goals of the BfS derived from it.
