3-day UVI forecasts are announced here every Monday, Wednesday and Friday from April to September for a total of 10 areas in Germany.

Forecasts are compiled in 3-day’s intervals, mainly based on both statistical evaluation of previous UV measurements performed in the nationwide UV-measuring network and the associated weather parameters reported by DWD. Knowledge of future weather pattern thus permits to determine the corresponding UVI value to be predicted. The UVI forecast compiled by BfS is based on the weather data provided by Germany's National Meteorological Service.
