Öffentliche Auslegung zur geplanten Stilllegung

Im Verfahren zu der vom Bundesamt für Strahlenschutz (BfS) geplanten Stilllegung des Endlagers für schwach- und mittelaktive Abfälle Morsleben konnten alle Bürgerinnen und Bürger bis 21. Dezember 2009 die Unterlagen für die beantragte Stilllegung einsehen und bei dem für die Durchführung des Genehmigungsverfahrens zuständigen Umweltministerium des Landes Sachsen-Anhalt Einwendungen erheben.

Statement on "Friends of the Earth Germany"'s background paper about the decomissioning of the Morsleben repository

In a background paper published on 27 July 2010, "Friends of the Earth Germany" (BUND) criticises the plans of the Federal Office for Radiation Protection (BfS) for the decommissioning of the Morsleben repository. For the detailed public discussion of these objections, Saxony-Anhalt's Ministry of Agriculture and the Environment will arrange a hearing. The BfS rejects statements of Robin Wood

The Federal Office for Radiation Protection has today rejected statements made by Robin Wood on the decommissioning procedure in Morsleben. "It is not sufficient to obtain a hearing with text modules from other procedures. One rather needs to bother and grapple with the facts,” a BfS spokesman said today in Salzgitter. That applies in particular to a nuclear law plan-approval procedure as is being carried out in Morsleben.
