Environmental radioactivity and radiation exposure
The elaboration of various reports about environmental radioactivity and radiation exposure is among the professional tasks of the BfS. Apart from the compilation and publishing of own reports, the BfS also supports the Federal Ministry for the Environment, Nature Conservation and Nuclear Safety in its national and international report duties.
Together with the results from monitoring environmental radioactivity, the Annual Reports made available here include the most important and current data on the development of environmental radioactivity as well as natural and man-made radiation exposure in Germany. The reports also include information on non-ionising radiation (NIR) and research projects in this field. The Annual Reports of 2001 - 2009 can be found here.
