Co-operations with non-university institutes
|
|
|
The BfS co-operates with several non-university institutes in the areas of radiation protection, nuclear safety, transport and storage of radioactive substances, as well as disposal of radioactive waste.
International cooperation focuses on the scientific exchange of knowledge and promoting of science and technology but also on getting to know the safety cultures and environments in which radiation protection, nuclear safety and waste management are practised.

Die Beteiligung des Bundesamtes für Strahlenschutz (BfS) am "Aktionsprogramm Umwelt und Gesundheit (APUG)"

Menschen brauchen eine Umwelt, in der sie gesund leben können. Um dieses Ziel zu unterstützen, kooperieren mehrere Ministerien und Bundesoberbehörden im Rahmen des Aktionsprogramms Umwelt und Gesundheit – kurz APUG. Die beteiligten Bundesoberbehörden sind das Bundesamt für Strahlenschutz (BfS), das Bundesinstitut für Risikobewertung (BfR), das Robert Koch-Institut (RKI) und das Umweltbundesamt (UBA). Die Geschäftsstelle ist im Umweltbundesamt angesiedelt.

The World Health Organization (WHO) and the German Federal Office for Radiation Protection (Bundesamt für Strahlenschutz, BfS) have continued and further extended their collaboration in the field of protection against harmful effects of ionizing and non-ionizing radiation since WHO re-appointed BfS as an internationally recognized Collaborating Centre (CC) early in 2010.
