Advisory Board
Because of the range of specialist knowledge required by the project and the importance of interacting with the community and other stakeholders it is essential to have an Advisory Board of competent scientists who will accompany the project. The Advisory Board (AB) supervise the scientific standards in use and the dissemination of the data of ERA. They will also safeguard the rights of the original investigators who supplied the ERA-data. The AB is giving advise related to the goals of the project, but decisions are made by the consortium.

Since the current data base not only includes data from European Laboratories, but also from American and Japanese labs, one representative from the respective archives (ERA, NRA and JRA, respectively) is member of the Advisory Board.

The Board consist of the following persons:

Mike Atkinson, Germany (chairman)
Chuck Watson, USA (representing NRA)
Shin Saigusa, Japan (representing JRA)
Georg Gerber, Germany/Belgium (former curator of ERA)
Leticia Quintanilla-Fend, Germany (pathologist)
Harmen Bijwaard, The Netherlands (data modeller)
Soile Tapio, Germany
