The monitoring network station of the Federal Office for Radiation Protection is about a ten minute walk from Rendsburg station.
Arriving by car
Rendsburg autobahn intersection
- A 7 to the Rendsburg intersection,
- A 210 in the direction of Rendsburg/Itzehoe,
- B 77 in the direction of Rendsburg/Tunnel,
- after the tunnel turn left towards Rendsburg, turn left at the first lights (Berliner Straße),
- at the next but one set of lights (Alte Kieler Landstr./ESSO petrol station),
- after the first bend in the road turn left (Graf-von-Stauffenberg-Str./THW) and drive to the end of the street.
Arriving by train
Head left across the railway square (Am Bahnhof) to the fire station on the corner of Herrenstraße.
Then go left past the Kreisberufsschule to the corner of Kaiserstraße (in front of the Kreishaus), turn left into Kaiserstraße and continue to the Uhrenblock (a large building before you reach the lights), turn right in front of the Uhrenblock, follow the path along the Uhrenblock into Graf-von-Stauffenberg-Straße.
Continue straight ahead, past three new apartment blocks to the monitoring network station.

Arriving by plane
Hamburg-Fuhlsbüttel airport - Rendsburg (by bus und rail)
Take the "Kielius" airport bus to Neumünster station.
There are good German Rail (DB) connections between Neumünster and Rendsburg (bus and train once an hour).
Flughafen Hamburg-Fuhlsbüttel - Rendsburg (by taxi)
Take a taxi along the A 7 autobahn to the Rendsburg intersection (distance approx. 100 km).
